Just dropping in
I feel horrible for doing such a terrible job of updating this blog, but I promise I'll churn some of my thoughts out soon. It turns out this summer break has been a lot busier than I had expected it to be.
In any case, I've been watching Tembusu's new "unofficial" Facebook group for the past week or so. Somehow a growing chain of self-introductions has sparked off, and that has been fascinating to watch. All along, I've found social media platforms can work well for maintaining existing social relations, but feels like this group has taken off as a social platform for meeting new people without the risk of appearing like a creep/ stalker/ online dater. I think this is a glimpse to the beginnings of a very exciting academic year ahead.
